Halloween is right around the corner and it is one of my favorite holidays! I just love the feel. The excitement that you can feel when getting ready for Halloween.

Candy, costumes, and booze.. oops!, I mean boos! Even though both may be applicable to my annual Halloween festivities. Wine just seems to fit the theme for me.

I am not a fan of “scary” things. Haunted houses, scary movies, clowns.. that is NOT my thing. I just hope that my little human doesn’t get scared of all the boos out there.

I love taking Jax trick or treating. He loves to share candy with me, so of course I am always happy to help him eat it.

Costumes are also super fun! I literally think about costumes in September and start deciding what to dress up as. to continue with my October fun, I thought I would share one of my favorite costumes he has worn thus far.

For jaxson’s first halloween, he wasn’t even a year old yet. I bought him a cute little monkey costume and he hated it. He cried when I put it on him so I ended up just letting him roam around in a pair of  mummy jammers. So last year, I wanted to do something a little more creative, but also keep it simple. I decided to make a gladiator costume!

Costume details:

gold moccasins, you can find similar ones here.
4 pairs of black toddler  crew socks, i believe i found them at our local dollar store.
Black baby bloomers that I borrowed from a friend that has a daughter
Gladiator hat that I found on Amazon so you may be able to find one there also.
toy sword- also found this on Amazon.

The only work I had to do was cut one pair of the socks to make the arm bands- One sock for each arm. And then I used some brown eye liner to draw the abs.

This costume was SO simple.. Really, there was not a whole lot to it! For how simple it was, I couldn’t have loved it more!

I can’t wait to see what we come up with next year and I hope you each have a Halloween full of candy, costumes, and boos! xx-Ray
